Our Classes: Bellacize is an exotic combination of sensual Belly dance, Bollywood & Burlesque (as defined below). Each class goes for 1 hour and encompasses about 20mins of these genres each. They are for beginners to intermediate and we focus on building your confidence, fun and fitness whilst learning great dance skills. See timetables page for times, dates and locations Weddings - Bridal Waltz Bollywood Style: Instead of a traditional and mundane Bridal Waltz why not bring the house down with a Bollywood Bridal Dance and have a ball whilst you do it. We come to you to choreograph a simple but very effective Bollywood Dance. Christine Sully developed the Bellacize workout after realising fitness members needed exercise to be a positive, enjoyable experience - not a necessary chore. Christine says, the girls in her class smile, laugh and have fun throughout ? this is what exercise should be about! You are likely to stick at exercise and remain fit and healthy forever if you really enjoy the exercise you do! Try sticking at excercise you don't enjoy - it doesn't happen! |

BellydanceTHE BELLYDANCE BEAUTIES This dance troupe are fabulous to enflame any event. The girls are all glamourous, dynamic and sensational dancers and performers. Bellydance is where it all began for Bellacize. Our style is modern Shakira Bellydance and has a definite dynamic, exciting and glamourous appeal to it! We perform at all functions with magnificent costumes and props. The Bellacize Bellydance Troupe are all stunning entertainers and beautiful dancers and assure you they will make any function memorable!What is "Bellydance"? The Belly Dance is identified by swaying hips, undulating torso, and articulated isolations employed in a range of dynamic and emotional expressions. Characteristic movements in the dance include curving patterns, undulations, thrusts, lifts, pops, locks, and drops, and shaking or quaking body movements. The focus is on isolated movements of individual parts of the body with little notice given to the footsteps. Arms and hands move fluidly, like serpents or ribbons in the air. Unusual strength and control is demonstrated in the belly area. Accents using "pop and lock" where a dancer either shimmies or makes a striking motion in her shoulders or hips are common, as are feats of flexibility, rolling one's stomach muscles, balancing various props like baskets, swords, or canes, and dancing with chiffon or silk veils. BurlesqueTHE BELLACIZE BURLESQUE BEAUTIES: Our Burlesque Troupe are glamourous, steamy and fantastic fun and can whip up any style of Burlesque to suit your function or party. From 1920's to 1950's Marilyn to Rio Showgirls and Russian themes for example. The Bellacize Beauties are where cheeky meets classy and always get the mix just right! They recently made a DVD for Beginners for; chair dancing, fan dancing, boa dancing and very modern bootilicious chair dancing. They have also performed at some amazing parties and have regular customers who continually challenge them with music and theme requests. We love Burlesque at Bellacize; and include it at most of our Hens Nights and always in our classes. Burlesque encompasses a wide range of dance styles and Team Bellacize are great fans of The Pussycat Dolls dance and Dita Von Teese's overall style and you will see this at our Hens Nights or our at our Performances. We make it healthy fun at Bellacize and work on it to bring out your confidence and sensuality. It?s also a terrific way to tone up especially when using the chair. In the early twentieth century burlesque emerged as a populist blend of dance and theatre beginning with Little Egypt in The USA and her exotic bellydancing. Dita Von Teese & The Pussycat dolls are catalysts in making it popular again today. In burlesque, performers, usually female, often create elaborate sets with lush, colorful costumes, mood-appropriate music, and dramatic lighting, and may even include novelty acts, such as chair dancing, bellydancing, snake dancing, cane/feather dance or demonstrations of unusual flexibility, to increase the impact of their performance. |

BollywoodBellacize Bollywood Beauties We love Bollywood at Bellacize. The Bollywood Beauties are fabulous at any function and ensure everyone gets into the spirit. It's a wonderful theme for any party, function or festival with the uplifting music, dance style and the BLING it brings..... We also include it in most of our Bellacize Classes as it's such a fun way to get fit!What is "Bollywood"? Bollywood is the nickname given to the Indian film industry. It is largely based in Mumbai. Bollywood films are usually musicals. Few movies are made without at least one dance number. Today Bollywood stands for glamour, glitz, colourful Indian entertainment and dance. Bollywood song and dance. The dancing in Bollywood films, especially older ones, is primarily modeled on Indian dance: classical dance styles, dances of historic northern Indian courtesans, or folk dances. In modern films, Indian dance elements often blend with Western dance styles, though it is not unusual to see Western pop and pure classical dance numbers side by side in the same film. The hero or heroine will often perform with a troupe of supporting dancers, usually of the same sex. If the hero and heroine dance and sing a pas-de-deux (a dance and ballet term, meaning "dance of two"), it is often staged in beautiful natural surroundings or architecturally grand settings. What is Bollywood dancing? Bollywood dancing is a commercial name for modern Indian dancing. It's a combination of classical Indian dance (which is the base), folk dancing such as Bhangra and modern hip hop and often has an Arabic influence. It's fun and very expressive and there's a lot of deep meaning behind music in the films. You can actually express what the music means, through the graceful movements of the body. Recently, the Bollywood dance craze has swept across the world!! It has come a long way in popularity and technique. Bollywood dancing works out your entire body, it's hand eye co-ordination at its best and a fabulous cardio workout.
